Legacy Fund

Not sure which project to make your contribution? In addition to specific projects, the Sugar Land Legacy Foundation is establishing a fund to support capital projects identified in the future.

Sugar Land Memorial Park Veterans Memorial Fund
This "memorializing" project for Fort Bend Veterans is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Fort Bend Veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

Brick Paver Engraving Project
The Sugar Land Legacy Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to invite members of the community to engrave 100 brick pavers in honor or in remembrance of a military service person. Funds raised from the campaign will go toward additional memorializing projects at Sugar Land Memorial Park.

New or Proposed Projects by Donors
Have a creative idea or project that you would like to propose and donate? The "Legacy Fund" provides an opportunity for generic giving to a variety of projects but if you have a specific project that you would like to propose for the Board of Directors to consider, please e-mail the Program Administrator at Upon receipt of your proposed project and donation proposal the Program Administrator will contact you with more information on how to proceed with the review process for "New or Proposed Projects by Donors."

Universally Accessible Playground
With the help of The Jabez Foundation, the Fort Bend Junior Service League, area Rotary Clubs, The George Foundation, Minute Maid and more, the Universally Accessible Playground at First Colony Park provides a place where children of all ages, races, cultures and abilities can play together and foster friendships in a welcoming and safe environment where every child's unique qualities and abilities are recognized and appreciated.
